Every year something at the Tucson Gem show takes me by surprise and its love at first sight. This year, that thing was fire opal beads. While I’ve been setting fire opal stones in my work for years, I’d never seen the beads before. Their ombre pattern and warm glow were so undeniably Southwestern and I just adore them. For this necklace I paired the rich opals with the deep green of chrome diopside to pay homage to the spring flowers just waiting to burst out of the ground. I topped it off with 5 handcrafted sundance charms to create one my favorite necklace designs ever.
It can be worn alone or stacked with your other R+R pieces. It includes a 2″ sterling silver extender that makes it adjustable between 16-18″ and is finished with a signature R+R makers tag.
